A Message from the President
As the journey of our school year continues, I wanted to take a moment to update you on the amazing things taking place at Nativity. At the beginning of our 2020-21 school year we made a commitment to provide exemplary education to wonderful students during some extremely exceptional times. I’m happy to report that through the second quarter of the school year, each week over 90% of our students attend five-days of in-person instruction. Our virtual learners are continuing to “attend” class each day from their homes simultaneously with their in-person classmates.
We have an empowered group of students who are committed to the journey of educational excellence. Because of their commitment and the work of our exceptional faculty, we just celebrated the second marking period with over half the students achieving honor roll, high honor roll, and high honor roll with distinction!
Their achievement inspired the creation of the Nativity Honors Society that recognizes students who achieve Honor Roll multiple marking periods in a row. Two students were also honored with the Nativity‘s President’s List by achieving a 4.0 GPA this marking period.
Thanks to you, our students and graduates can continue to excel despite the challenges of this pandemic. It is an understatement to say that our students, families, staff, and faculty are resilient. Every school day I am a witness to the incredible power of students actualizing their potential.
With your support, Nativity is committed to our 4+4+4 model. After four years in fifth grade through eighth grade on campus, we support our students at our partner high schools as they find their voices, as well as in college locally and nationally. For example, 89% of our high school senior alumni are participating in advanced placement classes at McQuaid Jesuit, Our Lady of Mercy, The Aquinas Institute, and more. Our current college alumni are attending Rochester Institute of Technology, Roberts Wesleyan, SUNY Oswego, Monroe Community College, Finger Lakes Community College, and more. In the middle of this storm that has been bearing down on our nation and our communities, it is evident that God’s light illuminates the brilliance placed inside of each Nativity student and alumni.
As President, it is my responsibility and calling to be a steward of your time, talent, and treasures to ensure God’s love permeates this institution, allowing the dreams of our students, alumni, and their families to be fulfilled. Thank you again for being the bedrock from which we build. We continue to be humbled and grateful by how God is working through this great mission, every step of this journey together.
