Welcome to Nativity Prep!

A Message from the President

As we approach the holiday season this year, I feel so blessed to be in my second year as President of Nativity. At this moment, I find myself in deep reflection about all the wonderful things that God has continued to provide for our school. We are so fortunate to have supporters who are committed to providing a foundation for our brilliant students and alumni to excel. At the end of this first grading period, over 70% of our students attained honor roll! It is your philanthropy that provides the resources for these achievements. Our holistic academic program with its individualized approach to education would not be possible without you!

In this third school year altered by the pandemic, it is because of the Nativity community that I am filled with hope for a brighter future. At the center of it all is God’s loving light that shows us the way to heal. This has never been more evident to me than now. I have the privilege of witnessing staff, students, and families come together at this critical time to become the best versions of themselves. I see fifth graders just starting their education with us, eighth graders exploring their choices for high school, and our graduates coming back to participate in our Alumni Council to develop plans for the next generation. I am seeing faculty, staff, and volunteers work together to support our students and graduates. This educational model is so powerful!

This holiday season, I am thankful that you are on this transformational journey with us. Our strength as an organization depends on the support we receive from friends and supporters like you. Your loving hearts, passion, and partnerships truly make living our mission a reality!

At our prayer service today, our students celebrated the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The 8th grade students led the entire school in making their own version of a Tibetan prayer flag with prayers based on the words of Dr. King. These flags will hang in the hallways of our school soon! ... See MoreSee Less

Truly a beautiful service, Nativity!

This sounds like a lovely celebration . I hope, however, that teachers and students reconsider the creation of Tibetan Prayer Flags in the future. Using them as a vehicle in an interfaith prayer service is a type of cultural appropriation that Is insensitive in my opinion. See everydayfeminism.com/2016/07/culturally-appropriating-buddhism/
