Meet Prajal, Class of ’22

Posted on in General

For Prajal Parajuli, graduating from Nativity Prep in 2022 was more than just a milestone—it was a transformation. Entering as a self-proclaimed “C student,” he quickly discovered the power of the support, resources, and individualized attention Nativity provides. With encouragement from teachers and access to tutoring, he went on to make the honor roll in both 7th and 8th grade, graduate as a member of the Honor Society, and build confidence in his academic abilities.“My teachers were always willing to help in any way they could,” he shared. “I felt a real connection with them—my 6th grade teacher (Ms. Adams) was like a second mother to me.” His favorite subjects were English and Science, where his curiosity and love of learning thrived.
After Nativity, Prajal attended Aquinas and then Gates Chili High School, where he graduated a full year early thanks to the credits he had earned. Today, he is enrolled in the Multi-Manufacturing Auto Program at Monroe Community College, a two-year program that will prepare him for a career in auto repair and, one day, owning his own shop. “I’ve always loved cars,” he said with a smile.

Being a Nativity alum continues to hold deep meaning for him. “It means a lot—the friendships I made, the relationships I built with teachers. Nativity is like a second family to me.”
When asked what advice he would give to current Nativity students, he didn’t hesitate: “Use all of the resources available to you—even if you think you don’t need them. Tutoring helped me so much.”
To the donors who make Nativity’s mission possible, he added, “Your donations are helping people at Nativity continue their path forward.”

Outside of school, Prajal enjoys playing soccer, working on cars, and playing the guitar. He’s also a proud older brother to an eight-year-old sibling.

His journey is a reminder of how Nativity Prep empowers students not only to succeed in school, but to dream big, work hard, and become leaders in their communities. A true story of  Belonging, Believing, Becoming.
